Top 3 things I realized this weekend:

1. New Yorkers get a bad rap. My mum is visiting and she wouldn’t stop about how nice everyone is to her on the streets, with directions, with information, giving her the right of way, even engaging in a little friendly politics talk…

2. My heat threshold is 87 degrees.

3. If you really want to enjoy the city, get out there between 8-10AM on a weekend. It’s quiet, it’s peaceful, there’s loads of parking and you can stroll around nibbling on breakfast food like a tourist.
