Starting the week off on the right foot is important to feeling like I’m making progress on the goals I set out to accomplish both short & long term. New York City is an amazing motivator so I’m always inspired by the doers getting stuff done here.
With that said, I have to remember to update your calendar. I can’t stress enough how important it is to have a clear calendar that lists out all of the things that are going on, and may be going on. This helps keep me organized and on track by knowing what’s on my schedule and to do list at all times.
In the spirit of stepping in the right direction, I’ve partnered with LOFT to try out their Custom Stretch Trousers. Loft offers pants in different cuts and fits– enough options to work on a lot of body types. They’re a great look for FaIl if you want both a business look that can go seamlessly from daytime at the office to a classy after work cocktails or even a slightly more casual happy hour with friends. I selected the Marisa in black and decided to style the for both. They fit comfortably through the waist, hip and thighs and taper out at the foot forming a nice silhouette. I paired them with a light yellow plum colored floral print blouse also from LOFT and a pair of gold pumps to tie the entire look together. I kept the accessories to a minimal as I like the simple look.
I also went with a bright yellow vintage coat here to add that pop of color that I love so much in all of my outfits. Especially in the fall where a pop of color stands out well against the late autumn backdrop of the city.
If you’re looking for trousers that can take you through different situations and seamlessly go from day to night, then you should take a look at LOFT‘s offerings for some more choices.
And I have to remember, It may not always be perfect but progress in the right direction is still progress.
