Hey guys, I pulled a little disappearing act on the blog all for the love of travel. I recently returned from the trip of a lifetime mostly shared on Instagram. I was in South Africa, for the very first time and there were so many moments to savor and so many fears to overcome.

I think South Africa Tourism (who invited me) were fully aware of my issues and decided that they would literally turn me into some kinda daredevil woman – from bungee jumping off the world’s highest bungee bridge, learning to surf somewhere between the South Atlantic and the Indian Ocean, helicopter rides across South African Wine country, Ziplining in Tsitsikamma National Park, getting on the tiniest planes ever to go see the worlds biggest animals (lions, elephants, rhinos, giraffes, leopards – Yes and Yes).  So much adrenaline, but it was also filled with more quietly beautiful moments like taking in the beauty of Capetown, at Table Mountain & Camps Bay, horseback riding in Stellenberg, wine tasting in Delaire Graff Wine Estate, getting massages at the One & Only Resort and so much more.

The only problem now is I have no idea where to begin. So I won’t overthink it- I’ll tell you many tales, slowly but surely and if you have any questions in the interim…please ask away.

    Hello Cynthia,
Love your blog! I’m thinking of going there early next year. My main issue is finding the right place to stay. Where did you stay, if you don’t mind?

It depends on how much you want to shop, eat and travel. Will you be taking taxis? will you be eating out. A really cheap budget can be $30/day but it can be much higher if you want to do more. I try to keep trip expenses to below $100/day.
