STAY MARRAKECH: ROYAL MANSOUR

DSC_0471

Trying to recap my stay at the Royal Mansour had to be one of the most difficult posts I’ve completed largely due to the sheer number of pictures I took while I was there. It was simply Mission Impossible in terms of deciding what to share and just how much to share. This trip happened back in May so Yeah- Mission Impossible.

Location: Extremely centrally located to everything you want to visit and do. Not smack dab in the medina but a 14 minute walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa square and about a mile to the Majorelle Garden.

Amenities and Service: All guests get their very own personal butler as well as excellent service from just about everyone on staff that you’d encounter. Concierge service was particularly helpful when we needed to figure out our train tickets.

Rooms: While at other hotels you get a room, or maybe even an apartment style suite, at the Royal Mansour you get an entire riad. Entry level riads offer 3 levels with plunge pool, terrace, outdoor dining table and it only gets better and more luxurious from there. There’s a reason the Royal Mansour is one of a handful of African hotels that made the cut for Leading Hotels of the World.

Dining: 3 restaurants serving traditional and international cuisine. In the spirit of first timers in Morocco, it made sense that we dine at La Grande Table Marocaine, which served one of the best meals I’ve had period. By the time we got to dessert and tea, I was praying, wishing for more room in my belly, I could barely manage one more bite.  Basically skip lunch if you have dinner plans here.

Design: Scroll down, pictures say more than words ever could. There’s plenty, from arrival to departure…

Overall: Absolutely nothing to criticize, even if I tried, I wouldn’t be able to come up with a bad word about my stay. Epitome of perfection. It’s the kind of place you absolutely want to, need to return to. Want to know more, have questions about my stay, leave a comment or shoot me an email at hello@simplycyn.com.
