This week we have the lovely Whitney, a native New Yorker living in New Orleans (on my to visit list). She’s a visual marketing creative which you can tell just by looking at her deliciously inspiring instafeed. So without further ado, here’s her 5 rapid fire questions:
Any 3 cities in the world you would like to live in?
New Orleans TorontoTaos, New Mexico (not a city more a town – rich with magic.)
Best Gift you have ever received?
Letters from my mom and dad. (Both are alive, but every time I get them I feel like I can climb Machu Picchu.)
One book you think everyone should read?
Any Saul Williams book of poems.
Best way to spend $20?
WINE and maybe some food with whatever is left.
Favorite television show growing up?
I loveeeeeed Girlfriends and Living Single (Even though I’m sure I didn’t get most of the jokes…. at the time)

Okay, Cynthia (and Whitney!)–your blog has been a real inspiration and pleasure for years so I hope if you do ever come to Nola you stop by my brand new store, Material Life, in the Lower 9th Ward. We feature fine and decorative arts by black artists and designers (plus, I’ve lived in Taos!) and I’m currently listening to Benjamin Clementine in the shop because of your recommendation!
