Naturally dry

A few years back, my aunt suggested I try some non Aluminium deodorant.
She explained it was all natural and that most store brand deodorants
may cause cancer and other health problems, something along those lines.
I reluctantly agreed (Lord knows I swear by Dove deodorant).
Boy, was that not a good idea.
I don’t remember exactly where I was, but do I remember the feeling
when the all natural deodorant just flat out stopped working, not even an hour into the day.
I felt horrid and stinky and swore “NEVER AGAIN”.
It’s been a few years now and no matter what I read about natural deodorants, I just never go there.
Until earlier today, reading the latest ELLE magazine issue, when I spotted this:
Screenshot July 2012 Elle iPad edition
Zimmerman’s experience in many ways mirrors my own and now here she is swearing by Soapwalla.
Of course, as soon as I realized SoapWalla is an Etsy Seller I was sold in my head.
I should be placing an order shortly and I’m hopeful it works great.
Tons of positive reviews so far.
For $12, and shipping, its more expensive than my regular old Dove.
But if it is a truly organic, all natural deodorant, that works as described, then it might be worth it.
To be continued…

I had the same problem when I tried non-aluminum dedorant, lol. I am willing to give this a try.

I definitely have to try this cream! I went through the same phase of trying every natural deodorant in the store but nothing worked! I was tired of being sweaty, stinky and allergic to half of them! so I switch between Dove and Secret. I look forward to your review! Thank you for sharing!

I've had so many bad experiences with all natural deodorants especially during this hot summer period, I was forced back to my trust "Secret". But I hate that it has aluminum in it.

Can't wait to see your review on this!

The cream may be effective. I tried Oyin Handmade's funk butter. I didn't stink but I did sweat, which I didn't enjoy. I smelled like water…which wasn't pleasant but not funky either. Looking forward to your review.

I'm super curious to hear the results on this. I've been toying with making my own soap and what not, lately, but the cost to get all of the initial materials is hefty.

Oh, yes, please keep us updated on how it works for you. I need to use one with no aluminum, but none of the one's I've tried keep the funk away. I definitely hope this works for you!

My husband is always telling me about his concerns with deodorants. But why are natural products always so much more expensive? Anyway, good luck with this new purchase and let us know how it goes.

I saw this same exact article, I actually skipped to this one in the issue and read if first. And like you I'd tried natural deodorant before and let just say sweating like a pig! šŸ™
Please do a follow up post to let us know how it works, I'm thinking of making the leap too.

I first heard of Soapwella over on the No More Dirty Looks blog. I've never tried it though. I use Arm & Hammer specifically b/c it has no aluminum. I like it a lot. I tried one from Tom's of Maine and it was a complete fail. Hope the soapwella works out for you.
