PANAMA RECAP: PART ONE

Panama City, Panama. I knew so little about it going in and couldn’t be happier now that we made the choice to go.
I had already seen the pictures of the skyscrapers and amazing skyline but I was positively intrigued by the dichotomy of the very old and the very modern. I wondered if it would work together or just seem like an awkward pairing.

All over the city especially in Casco Viejo, you see men at work, building, painting, doing it all.  And just like that the old is new again.

School Kids on their way to school I believe.

Panama hats seen all over the city

Making friends with the local florists
You might be alarmed by the number of police and armed guards all over the city/Casco Viejo but rest assured that they are there to ensure everyone’s safety. They even have a specialized Tourist Police.
Beautiful shops featured work by local artisans
I wanted this to be my ride.
The view from Tantalo’s rooftop bar
Closing out the day at Tantalo’s roof.
Panama City, Panama. No awkward pairings here.

What a gorgeous and colorful trip! At a glance, I thought it was Granada in Nicaragua. We were just there with our friend EL CAMINO. Maybe Panama next on our list…
