WINTER SKIN REMEDY IN 4 STEPS

Winter months- we love them because of the holiday season. It's a time with family and friends. It's a time of gift-giving and gift-receiving. But it's also a time of winter skin. The time of year where it feels like no matter what you do, your skin just wants to stay dry or cracked. And because the weather is so different, it's the time where I have to switch up my regimen.

I partnered with Walmart on a skincare challenge to see if they could offer me all my skin will need this winter season. Three things mattered to me:

  1. Affordability: I want to feel free to slather and lather these products on as I see fit without feeling like I am wasting $$ with every pump or squeeze. Also, because this is likely a seasonal beauty regimen, I would hate to go broke on products that I may swap out during the hotter months of the year.

  2. Effectiveness: So many products make promises on their labels and in their ads that they can't keep. I was looking at products with solid reviews, good history, from brands I trust.

  3. Allergy/Sensitive skin safe: My skin is a little on the picky side and can very easily have a reaction to products that have harsh chemicals. I'm always on the lookout for products that will not irritate my skin.

Outcome:

Well, this was quite an easy challenge. Walmart has done a lot to make sure that they have something for all skin types and all skin conditions. I found that there were so many options ranging from established drugstore brands like Neutrogena to the more higher-end brands like Philosophy and Peter Thomas Roth clinical skincare. Even more impressive are the clean beauty options. I previously shared the Earth to Skin line and I have to say that the next range to check out is the Cleen beauty Line. Made in the USA, Cleen beauty is cruelty-free and vegan, and dermatologist tested and they focus on innovative clean ingredients that work or feel good.

I could go on and on about the options but here is my list. Four super solid, won't break the bank products to get, to keep your skin in check this winter.

All over Body moisturizer: Day or Night, Jergens Ultra Healing is where it's at. This richly hydrating lotion (with vitamins C, E, and B5) completely transforms dry skin.

Cleanser: CeraVe always gets rave reviews and the Hydrating Face Wash not only cleanses but also hydrates and helps skin retain moisture. It's also a fave for anyone with sensitive skin.

Day - Face moisturizer: One of the most well-reviewed face moisturizers and only $16.99 is Neutrogena's Hydro Boost Hydrating Face Gel with Hyaluronic Acid. It instantly quenches dry skin and boosts skin hydration. I have used this a mere handful of times but immediately knew that this was a keeper.

Night- Face Moisturizer: Another one, you've already heard me talk about. I recently shared why it was important to add retinol to your skincare regimen/routine. So this list would have been incomplete without Olay Regenerist Retinol 24.

So there you go, if nothing else, 4 products to get you started right. Which products do you purchase specifically to combat Winter Skin?
