GOOD FOR TRAVEL

2016-07-174

Today I’m sharing a few things I have used over my past few trips that I have found to be really useful and worth taking along.

I.   FILTERED WATER EVERYWHERE

In most of Europe and in many other cities including Dubai and Morocco, I was appalled at the cost of water. I try to save every penny when I travel and I really hate paying outrageous amounts for water.  Which is why this bobble water bottle is my new best friend. bobble bottles are reusable, bpa-free and it has an activated carbon filter that filters water as you drink making access to tap water all you need. The bobble infuse bottle is the one I use as I can fancy up my water by infusing it with fruits of  my choice.

II.    A MODERN DAY SUITCASE

Travel suitcases have come a long way over the past few years. They do so much more than simply carry your clothes. What I look for is something that is compact, easy to move with, lightweight, aesthetically pleasing and smart. My current smart suitcase is from AWAY and it’s so perfect in every way, not just because it charges all cell phones, tablets, e-readers, and anything else that’s powered by a USB cord. It has a 10,000mAh battery which in everyday terms means it can charge an iPhone five times and an iPad more than once.

III.   EASY CLEAN

Because you will be exhausted at the end of a long day of doing touristy and not so touristy things; because sometimes you just need to get the dirt and grime off your face; because you need something that cleanses and more, you will need a solid facial wipe. In my experience, there’s nothing better than Simple cleansing and makeup wipes. They don’t dry out and one sheet really does get it all off.  It’s also gentle and good to your skin.

IV.    CARRY- ALL

2016-07-171

First you need your carry-on, but next you need your carry all. I don’t know what took me so long to get obsessed with Baggu bags, but now I love them so much and they can carry any and everything that I sometimes leave my actual handbags at the hotel and just use this. On recent trip to Montreal, I carried one of these with 2 other bags in it. I saved some $$ too as many supermarkets offer small discounts if you forego a plastic bag. Best part is just how sturdy they are and just how much you can carry in them, oh and did I mention they are better for the environment…go figure.

V.    GOES WITH EVERYTHING SCARF

You’ll be hot, you’ll be cold, the weather will change on you so you need to pack one go with everything scarf. Preferably it should be with you and fit in your bag. Maybe you need to be modest and covered up or maybe even though its 100degrees outside, it’s minus 5 degrees in that mall or that restaurant or in that subway car.  A good scarf can go a long way. You could even use it to wrap up your hair on day 7, when your hair decides it’s done behaving.

WHAT DO YOU ALWAYS TRAVEL WITH?
